The continued support and a recent donation of £22,000 from Nadezda Foundation makes such a positive difference to the lives of the children who are at the care of the child bereavement services at the Wakefield hospice. The funding is being used to continue one on one child counselling sessions, purchase therapeutic George bears, and activity books.

During Covid-19 pandemic Nadezda Foundation was able to help Sunshine Wishes Childrens Charity
by giving a grant of £3,000 for essential needs and food for children, who found themselves in very difficult situations.

A letter from the director of the charity:

Not only did we manage to help out the families with essentials such as food, but we also managed to help support them with electricity/gas top ups, along with nappies and baby milk. Everyone one of them was overwhelmed that we could help them out during these difficult times.

We also had a couple of emergency referrals late last week involving children who are under child protection, for obvious reasons we can't share any of these images. We helped them out not only with food but also household essentials such as cutlery, dishes, cookware etc.

Once again, thank you so much for the donation!
- Linda.

In the beginning of 2020 Nadezda Foundation purchased Craniotom medical equipment (£16,000) for Childrens Hospital in Tver, Russia. A craniotomy is a surgical operation in which a bone flap is temporarily removed from the skull to access the brain. Craniotomies are often critical operations, performed on patients who are suffering from brain lesions or traumatic brain injuries (TBI).

Equipment already in use and doctors and all medical stuff at the hospital are thankful for support!

Rehabilitation equipment for Ashton Secondary school in Glasgow, where boys and girls with severe disabilities study all year round. Check out a short video with the headteacher Nicola Lavery, where she talking about our project of doing outdoor rehabilitation facility for her students. Total cost of this project: £25,500.

£5,760 went to Blue Sky Autism

“We know from the research evidence that children with autism can be at risk for being socially isolated as they get older and a key factor in this is lack of age appropriate friendships and peer support. With early intervention hat focuses on social interaction, play skills and early social skills children can go on to feel more confident, more included in their peer groups and communities and make more successful friendships. The social skills groups that you have funded will focus us on helping children with ASD to develop the skills they need to support them become more confident and will help them to be better equipped to engage in the social world.”
